Julia Hilton,
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

“Awareness is the Greatest Agent for Change.”

Eckhardt Tolle

As we evolve through life, so does our purpose. I found my purpose by listening to that inner voice of wanting to help others. I now get the honor of being able to pull from a variety of life experiences in order to connect with individuals in an empathetic and genuine way. My personal philosophy when counseling is that in order to be an effective counselor, one needs to provide unconditional positive acceptance and meet the client in the present moment.

As a mother, sister, and extended family caregiver, I am passionate about living authentically. After residing in St. Augustine on and off for twenty years, I truly appreciate the essence of our surroundings. I can usually be found at the beach, walking my dogs, or listening to music at the local Amphitheatre.

I appreciate the various modalities of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindful Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Adlerian principles, but a specific approach is based on each individuals’ unique needs. By helping one navigate towards self-actualization and strength-based goals, we can work together to try to achieve a more harmonious path for you.
