Kristi Labenne, MA, ATR, CTT,
Art Therapist

"I found I could say things with colour and shapes that I couldn't say any other way - things I had no words for." - Georgia O'Keefe

I'm a compassionate and empathetic art and certified trauma therapist dedicated to guiding individuals through healing and growth. Since earning my Master's in Art Therapy from Marylhurst University in 2005, I've specialized in helping clients navigate the complexities of trauma, addiction and the profound grief of pet bereavement. My therapeutic approach is both gentle and powerful. I expertly integrate evidence-based, trauma-informed methods with various art modalities to create a safe and supportive environment. Through our work, clients learn to process difficult experiences, develop coping strategies, and rediscover their inner resilience. They gain tools to regulate emotions, reduce symptoms, and cultivate stability and agency in their lives.

I empower individuals to use creativity as a tool for processing, integration, and personal transformation. I'm adept at working with diverse individuals of all ages and backgrounds, particularly those struggling with PTSD and addiction. My unique ability to use art as a nonverbal language enables clients to explore and express what might be too difficult to articulate verbally, fostering self-discovery and lasting change. My deep understanding of trauma's impact on the brain and body ensures a safe and highly attuned therapeutic experience.

Driven by the belief in art's inherent capacity for healing, I'm dedicated to guiding individuals toward profound self-discovery, emotional growth, and a renewed sense of purpose. I look forward to supporting you on your creative path to well-being.
